Trying Human 2008 - Ongoing By far my most well-known comic, Trying Human is a full color graphic novel about a New York City secretary, Rose, who learns she's being abducted by aliens. At the beginning of every chapter is a flashback to a second story line that takes place fifty years before the current one. It's heavily inspired by contemporary Ufology (the study of UFO's and alien phenomena) with most of the focus being the interpersonal relationships between the aliens and humans. Along with a large cast and detail oriented plot, it's not for the casual reader. |
ROADSIDE 2009 My first published comic, available in Gothology Book I: The Eternal Sad. A short story about a group of disfigured young girls enslaved by a mysterious race of Sworcs to work on pipes in their mountain caves. |
Alternating Current 2009 I wrote and illustrated the original Alternating Current for the 24-Hour Comic Challenge on October 3, 2009. I made it to page 24 but realized that I had too many ideas to get across on the last page, so I shelved it and went to bed. In November 2010 I began to refine the original 23 pages with a grittier inking style and less saturated palette. As of September 7, 2011 the comic is complete and visually much closer to my original intention. |
EMpathY 2012 A collection of gothic horror art that I've illustrated over the last three years. |
The Mysterious Disappearance of Frederick Valentich 2012 Just what it says on the tin: a short comic depicting the mysterious disappearance of Frederick Valentich, soon to be printed in Emi Gennis' Unknown Origins & Untimely Ends: A Collection of Unsolved Mysteries. |
